Financing government through the printing press has always been the method of last resort employed by desperate governments. With 45 million people on food stamps the virtual soup lines grow longer than ever. If we are in an economic recovery, then I guess the liberals are right and 2+2 does not equal 4. And there is such a thing as a free lunch.

Student Debt Bubble
In its latest (successful) attempt to exploit the future of its citizens our government has buried its young adults in a financial grave. Young adults were already indirect debtors with their share of the Federal Treasury debt, Social Security, and more, but over the last few years have been drawn into more debt (one Trillion) than they can carry even in the short term. To me, it looks like they are pawns being exploited in a desperate and corrupt system. To quote the article, "when it comes to young adults 18-24) in the US, the employment rate is just barely above half, or 54%, which just happens to be the lowest in 64 years...". By now it should be obvious, without a healthy economy to find a job in, more education is not the solution.

Executive Branch Claims Control of all Resources
In a chess game it is critical to anticipate the opponents moves. On a national scale the moves out of the Whitehouse are all strategically being made to consolidate all power in the executive branch. At this point would it even need to declare martial law to gain absolute control? It looks to me like this executive order accomplishes the same thing. Does anyone think we have a functioning Constitution anymore? After NDAA US citizens can be jailed indefinitely without legal representation or a trial. ThisExecutive Order claims the authority to comandeer the entire economy "in peacetime and in times of national emergency". All they need now is a crisis (or not). Didn't Panetta say we did not need congressional authorization to go to war? Maybe we should try to get our States to defend the Constitution, no one else seems interested.

Redefining Statutory Rape
This US Government site is promoting a kinder, gentler child sexual abuse. How hot does the water have to get before the frogs wake up?

The Idaho AG Opposes Sound Money
When the government robs us through inflation, declares it a capital gain and uses it as an excuse to tax us again, it is like a wife beating husband using the bruizes from the last beating to do it again. Here is a cleptocratic response to my request to protect (just a little) the safe haven status of precious metals in Idaho. Perhaps it is time you called or e-mailed your state legislators?
Dear Gresham,
Our Attorney General has weighed in on this issue. He says," the constitution grants the federal government the exclusive power to coin money, to regulate the currency’s value, and to ensure uniformity and transferability between all states.”
Sorry, but I will not vote for this bill HB 578.

Support Idaho HB 578, (write a letter)
Dear Legislators,
With foreign Central Banks remonetizing gold (buying it for reserves, and reducing Dollar holdings), it would be sad if we were among the last people in the world to figure out what the Fed is doing to our currency. Maybe you-all don't get it? It has been obvious for years that the Federal Government does not have the political courage to rein in spending, so will use the printing presses to extract every bit of wealth possible from all who store their wealth in dollar denominated financial assets. A perfect example of taxation without representation. This session you have another opportunity to protect a safe haven currency for your citizens in the form of gold and silver tender. I favor as broad protection as your stingy hearts (not all of you) will allow. There is not a bit of the citizen's wealth that is safe from the thieves/politicians that consider themselves our benefactors and betters these days. Government creates inflation, calls it capital gains, and declares that we owe it tax on the inflation it created! Those who stand idly by are as guilty as the thieves themselves. I urge you not to be among the guilty and do what you can to protect citizens that elected you.
Impatiently yours,
Gresham Bouma

Open Letter to Idaho Legislature
Dear Representatives,
Consistent with the Idaho Republican platform I am urging support of Phil Hart's sound money legislation. Anyone that does not recognize the dangers and risks to the entire system of commerce cause by loose fiscal policy at the national level and the Fed's liquidation of the dollar is ignorant of one of the greatest threats our country has ever faced. One step you can take to protect your citizens is to pass this sound money legislation. I urge your support.
Respectfully yours,
Gresham Bouma

Why China is Dumping the Dollar
The chart towards the bottom of this article is very telling. I am hoping that many Americans are starting to understand that government reporting is a poor indicator of price inflation, that a better indicator are energy prices. I am hoping that many Americans are starting to understand that the Greek defaults matter to us because we through the Fed are bailing out the Euro via the overnight swap line (loans). That what used to be a race to the bottom between the Dollar the Euro now looks more like two cripples tied together at the ankles, committed to collapsing together.

Student Loan Debt
Many of these kids are not old enough to drink, but can amass more debt than they could ever hope to re-pay. They are simply pawns in a system partying on their future.

Here is The Recovery
When the Central Bank set interest rates below the rate of inflation several years ago they created negative real interest rates. In other words, they were paying people to go into debt. Since whatever govt subsidizes you get too much of, we got way too much debt, and are still struggling to recover. In fact, everywhere you look in the system, we have debt imploding while the govt continues its central control of interest rates set at less than the rate of inflation. It keeps fighting too much debt by subsidizing more of it. These policies are extremely dangerous and create a threat to the entire system which will be blamed on the free market by the liberal press, government officials and leftist academics. With lip service to free markets, we have become a centrally controlled and planned economy in many critical ways and are demonstrating once again that this Marxist idea is a deadly mistake.

Inflation Higher
Inflation is a leading indicator for higher interest rates, and higher interest rates are one thing the world can no longer afford without systematic crisis due to impossible debt loads. Some may wonder why I am so focused on the ongoing financial crisis we are in. It is because even as the government and the Fed bring us to the brink of financial chaos, they, with the support of the press, will attempt to divert the blame to the free market. The innocent (us) will be demonized, and the guilty will attempt to use any crisis to tighten their stranglehold on the economy.

Only 54% of Young Adults Have a Job
The percentage of our young adults that have a job is only slightly better than Greece's. A jobless recovery is no recovery, and this statistic helps put the lie to the government and media reporting on unemployment and the economy.
