The Idaho House Health and Welfare Committee is scheduled to hold hearings Thursday and Friday starting at 7:00 in the morning. A state health insurance exchange will give the Feds more control over Idahoans than any other type since it removes all hurdles, legal and financial, that remain in place if Idaho resists this tyranny. Please attend the hearing if you can make it and voice opposition. Any legislator that will yeild our state sovereignty and individual liberties without a fight needs to be replaced. Blue Cross and Blue Shield would not be supporting this unless they thought it would tighten their stranglehold on our already captive insurance market. The IRS projects the minimum qualifying insurance plan to cost 20,000 per year by 2016, so get ready to empty your wallets if we lose what little is left of a market based system of healthcare and insurance.
